I greet you, the best greeting on earth Assalamu alaikum wa rehmatullah wa barakah tuhu Today’s khutba, today’s reminder Today’s vitamin Because a reminder, a speech, it is a vitamin For our heart For our soul To carry us on For the next Period of our life, for the next day of our life And much more It is about inviting people To Islam. Inviting non-Muslims, and inviting Muslims to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala declared in the Quran Closest to the meaning, Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala is telling us Whose better In speech than those who call to Allah They call to Allah And They have faith And they say I am among the believers I am a Muslim Therefore my brothers, my sisters The best speech that raises to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala in the sky The best and the fastest, they reach Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala Those words when you’re inviting people to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala When you invite people to Islam, you are inviting people to the jannah Rest assure, as a Muslim, we are the most compassionate people on Earth Because when we invite people to Islam In reality, we are inviting them, to the jannah, to paradise To the happy life of Islam To the clean life of Islam To the merciful life of Islam In reality, We are So compassionate when we practice this particular Practice of the big winners Practice of rasulullah(SAW) For us, we have two ways or many ways, that could invite people to Islam We could invite them with our tongue We could invite them verbally And we could invite them with materials We could invite them by reading through us Cause when you give somebody a book about Islam It’s nice A Muslim or a non-Muslim as a gift about Islam, it’s a beautiful thing But we have to remember that we are the biggest and the tallest book That people should read proper Islamic treatment and proper Islamic manners The Muslims will be influenced, The non-Muslim will be influenced The rock in the street will be influenced, so da’awa is not just by the tongue Are we, Really fit, to give people da’awa, to invite people to Islam, to attract people to Islam If we make sajood only Once a week If we make salaat only, On Friday, once a week, How poor we are. You know what does that mean? Because the best position, you are In this life when you make prostration, sajood to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala The closest me and you, Brothers or sisters Young or adults or Seniors The closest we get to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala When you are in the sajood When you are prostrating to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala So if we only make sajood in Jummaa If we only make sajood once A week How can we attract people to Islam How can we Really invite people to the happy life of Islam If we are only a part time or some times or occasionally Muslims Islam is not a part time my brothers my sisters Islam is a full time and we really sincerely ask Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala To help us to live Islam, not to leave Islam behind our back, to live the Qura'an, to live Islam And to live Islam as a full time Muslim To be full time Muslims, not eid time Muslims, not Friday time Muslims Not occasionally Muslims, not funeral time Muslims No That we are a full time Muslim. We ask Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala This particular Sincerity Now You ask people in north America, who’ve been in North America for many years Busy with the Islamic work, they will tell you That the best and the most delicious fruit We got these fruits when we started inviting people to Islam When e opened our masajid and our centers and our schools to the non-Muslim And we saw that every person out there is a good candidate to be a good Muslim Let us invite all Canada to Islam Invite Canada to the happy life of Islam Invite Canada to the peaceful life of Islam Invite Canada to the jannah Let’s do it my brothers my sisters rasulullah(SAW) there is simple formula, successful formula used just to say say la ilaha illalah, you achieve success look at it he used ot tell the non Muslims say la ilaha illalah tufleho say there’s no God, there’s no Thee but Allah, you will achieve success so for us here, you can just think that only me can invite people to Islam we can’t think that only the Imam of the masjid can invite people to Islam no you can do that job, maybe better than me. Why? Because that colleague you have or that person you’re playing hockey with Or that Whoever you are really A neighbour to You might be much more closer to them physically and emotionally Than us, so you could be a walking da’awa center, you could be that book That they can read through you, the proper Islamic treatment and manners And they can really Take you As their Saviour. Not only that They can take you as a person that really cares about them Not just Giving them once in a while that delicious meal that you made and you liked them to share that particular culture with you, but you’re sharing Islam with them You are sharing the Qura'an with them You’re sharing as sarat al mustakim with them. You really care And you don’t want them to be in the hell fire. So basically you have the chance Remember, my sister and my brothers, remember That you really indeed have the chance better than an imam of the masjid Or president of the Islamic center to give the people da’waa Invite people to Islam Because you could be much closer to many people Than that imam or that president And my brothers my sisters da’waa, it needs knowledge And knowledge needs to be put in practice Because when we fly, we don’t fly with one wing, We fly with two wings the knowledge of Islam And putting the knowledge in practice Go to rasulullah(SAW) who said This is dangerous. Closest to the meaning, translation more or less, rasulullah(SAW) Is telling us that if we’re not joined in what’s good and forbidding what’s bad, Allah’s just about to send punishment upon us that we could ask Allah And we make dua and we pray to Allah Allah does not accept Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala does not answer our prayers Does not answer our dua. So this is dangerous For us now a days specially. It is not just nice to invite people to Islam To educate them about Islam, it is a must matter, It is not just charismatic, you know, Let us just invite somebody to Islam, no, It is really a matter of a life And death It is a matter of happy existence or Miserable existence in North America. For us we have to ……squeegee you my brothers my sisters You know the squeegee that goes and clean the car The wind shield for you so you could see better We have to be a squeegee, Islamic squeegee We have to clean the site for people, To remove the dirt thrown at Islam, so people could see better The clear picture of Islam, The reality of Islam. As a Muslim you are an Islamic squeegee You have to remove that cockroach, away from Islam. What does that mean? Islam is like a delicious dish That looks good Smells good And tastes good a delicious dish that looks good Smells good tastes good But someone comes and put a cockroach on top of that dish Most likely nobody will eat this dish or come close to it. So we have to prevent this cockroach From coming to the dish And the hand that puts the cockroach on that dish And if it happens to be there, We have to remove that cockroach away from Islam We have to be a squeegee Clean the way so people could see the reality Of Islam my brothers, my sisters Now take alook at this story You don’t have to be master reading so many books. If you have the time and you have the passion which we really should Have the time and the passion to read and to Suck the knowledge of Islam. Our heart and our mind and our brain To suck the knowledge of Islam but in reality, sometimes with little knowledge And great sincerity Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala could take it a long way Take a look at this story A person who is inviting people, Muslims, Yes he’s inviting them back to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala He’s reminding them of Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala this big winner, this business man, who does business with Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala if you happen to be a business man my brother or a business woman you know, if you’re so smart in business in this life be so smart in business in the life after he’s inviting people to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala this big winner. How? Every time he sees a gathering or a wedding, some kind of a gathering whatever’s the reason, He will interrupt nicely politely In a modest way, he would ask them brothers can I give a naseeha Can I give a reminder? Can I give you Some kind of words? Can you allow me in it? They’ll say sure, go ahead brother. He would say He would say brothers, Two words, They are light on the tongue and they are so heavy In the scale of good deeds subhanAllah wabehamdehe glory to Allah and praise to Allah subhanAllah il azeem glory to Allah the greatest these words, this particular sentence wherever he goes, he always approach people with it. He always does business with Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala with this particular sentence what happened? This big winner, Happen to get ill, sick And his situation deteriorated so bad That he’s in a coma. While he’s suffering that coma A doctor which happen to be a Muslim, unfortunately A part time Muslim or some time Muslim He was taking care of him The brother in a coma Suddenly snapped out of his coma and started talking to the doctor doctor Oh doctor. The doctor looked at him, pleasantly surprised. Yes, yes He said can I give you a naseeha Can I give a moaza, a reminder? The doctor pleasantly surprised, sure, yes brother, go ahead Then he died Immediately said to the doctor Two words, They are light on the tongue and they are so heavy with the scale of Allah With the scale of good deeds subhanAllah wabehamdehe praise to Allah and glory to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala subhanAllah il azeem which is glorifying Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala the greatest then he died instantly after that but that particular act, that particular da’waa that particular sentence awakened the doctors heart so that daiyaa died but the doctors heart now’s alive and really he got touched by this story and he became a full time Muslim and a practicing Muslim. To a point where he narrated the story and he said really what happened with him my brothers my sisters, in the winter, we know that we need the salt you throw the salt on the snow on the ice so it could melt, this way your life becomes easier you could walk easier you could drive much easier your mom does not slip and break her hand, your dad drives nicely without an accident your sister does not slip and hurt herself. You know we need this salt in winter to throw at ice so we don’t slip So it can melt the ice but there is Really important ice Important ice So important that really we can’t live without it In winter and in summer Not just in winter, this salt we need all year round This salt we needed so we could throw at Pre judgment of Muslims , so it can melt pre judgment of Muslims We need this salt to throw at suspicion of Muslims So it can melt suspicion of Muslims We need this salt to throw at racism against Islam So it can melt racism against Islam And this salt is called educating people about Islam Inviting people to Islam Inviting people to the Qura'an Let them know what’s the reality of Islam Because in reality my brothers, my sisters when somebody doesn’t know you Most likely They will fear you and if they fear you They will hate you My brothers my sisters we need this salt all year round To invite people to Islam To invite non- Muslims to Islam and remember I am not exaggerating out there, there are thousands of non Muslims Who are really good Human and good fellows and good Canadians Or good whatever nationality they are and their heart is ready To accept Islam. They are good candidates to be good Muslims and Wonderful human beings All we have to do, We have to do our homework Of inviting people to Islam and really putting our money Into that cause because money talks My brothers, my sisters Dear believers you have to know That When you are inviting people to Islam We have to remember that we are inviting them with our Tongue and with our Good manners and good treatement You know that they say that Islam spread by a sword. Islam spread by a saif, a sword. In reality If we take a look at the Qura'an, question, how many times The sword is mentioned in the Qura'an, how many times? I will tell you the answer to that question, zero time, zero, zero time Yet they say that the Islam spread by the sword My brothers my sisters, in reality, in the bible, the sword is mentioned more than 200 times Let us invite people to Islam and stretch the arm of peace Let us stretch the arm of love and repect Let their intellect examine the Qura'an Examine the Islam, if they say they are so intelligent Let their intellect examine the Qura'an, examine Islam Wallahe we ask people Who are Now Muslims Who reverted to Islam Some of them they’ve seen so many things, they drove fancy cars, they ate beautiful food They’ve done so many things, they lived in beautiful houses, nice nature I asked one of them What’s the best thing happened to you in life? The best thing that happened to be in life that Allah Guided my heart to Islam That Allah guided me to the Qura'an In reality this is so true my brothers, my sisters Let us invite all Canada to Islam As a daiya, a brother told me He was giving a flyer Very simple small tiny flyer inviting people to Islam. He said to me brother, Somebody came to me as I’m giving the flyer, just punched me in the face and walked away And I could remember Another story With Bilal(AS) What happened? As they are torturing him and real terrible life he’s suffering Under that torture Under The grip, his heart is grabbing and getting a nice grip of la ilaha illalah muhamada rasulullah Grabbing Islam, he doesn’t want to let go When he went to Al-Madina they asked him How did you manage? How did you handle this torture He said It used to be He said it used to be the delicious taste of the imaan, the faith And the bitterness of the torture Pain. The delicious taste of the imaan, the sweet taste of the faith Over rides, the bitterness of the torture As if someone drinking a delicious cup of juice My brothers, my sisters I don’t think Anyone of you, or may be one two Or maybe the hundreds who’re listening now, Or thousands maybe got punched in the face Because of la ilaha illalah muhamada rasulullah Invite people to Islam, Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala there watching and protecting you And rewarding you. Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala Will keep that aus as a great investment in this life and in the life after That will be your insurance, and our children’s insurance It is not the salt that we need to melt the racism, pre judgment and suspicion of Muslims We also need an insurance for ourselves, Insurance for our children, Insurance for our generations Insurance for our existence in Canada and north America And that insurance is called inviting people to the jannah Inviting people to paradise Invitee people to Islam, educate people about Islam Most likely, They would share salaat with you and share sirat al mustakeem and if it happens, That they don’t share sirat al mustakeem with you, atleast they know what’s Islam And they are in peace in their mind with you You don’t harm them, they don’t harm you. They understand what’s Islam And Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala’s timing Because, speaking of timing, when you invite someone to Islam No matter how good they are No matter how special they are to you, you are not in charge of their heart You are not in charge of the result You throw the seeds and Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala’s able to water these seeds in their heart And to really plant the love for Islam, the love for the Qura'an, the faith in their heart We are not incharge of the results, my brothers, my sisters Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala’s in charge of the results but we are responsible To do our homework, to do our job and to invite people to Islam To educate them. To be a good Islamic example We ask Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala sincerely to make us as a good Islamic And a human example My brothers, my sisters, Take a look also At something called classical conditioning This is a dangerous matter They tried, they put a turtle In the boiling water, you know that Slow moving turtle. When they put that turtle in the boiling water The turtle tried to jump That slow moving creature tried to jump out of the boiling water They took another turtle And put it In Regular water In reality, they took the same turtle Put it in regular, room temperature water. What happened? The turtle’s swimming The turtle’s enjoying himself, cool way Kind of a life. What happened? They added more heat Change the temperature up, the turtle is swimming. They added more heat, what happened? The turtle still swimming They added more heat to a point now where it’s boiling. You know what happened? The turtle still swimming and doesn’t know the difference and died This is called classical conditioning We need to invite people to Islam because my brothers, my sisters just to blend into the community, to blend into this society we think that we are swimming a comfortable, really it is a slow death if we don’t live Islam, if we don’t practice Islam if we don’t implement the Qura'an, of we don’t invite people to Islam it is not a cool swimming. It is not a cool life, it is a slow death rest assure, it is a slow death wal ayad o billah so basically, this is the classical conditioning we need to invite people to Islam, we cant be like the turtle just barely moving and not only that, that we don’t really know the difference. We will never know the difference if we’re just sitting and enjoying our life and not bothering with Islam we think that our goodness, only to our families and that’s good enough in reality, it is not good enough to enjoy our lives and to ignore the muslim matters and the Muslim ummah Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala declared that comfort, it is as if we are throwing ourselves into destruction as if we are throwing our self into tahloka. So the real happiness the happiness to invite people to Islam and the happiness to keep our face in prostration, down, in the sajood to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala, where this is the best position on earth and the closest you get to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala into that position to make sajood so when you’re bringing people to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala. When you are recruiting people to the happy life of Islam, you are bringing them closer to Allah Closer to their creator, when they are making sajood Rest assure, my brothers, my sisters, when you do your homework or not, Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala is able to replace us and to bring people better than us To spread Islam, to care for Islam, really, As rasulullah(SAW) taught us that Islam will be in every corner on this earth Islam my brothers, my sisters will be in every house What’s our role, just sitting down and enjoying our pizza and really thinking that we are Fine and we really Nothing will touch us. And we are really in the sight of Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala We are a good Muslim My brothers, my sisters We really have a home work A homework and we cant let others do this homework. We need, each and everyone of is To be that squeegee To clean the dirt, that’s thrown at Islam And the widow of Islam so people can see the reality and that’s what’s happening The reality of the matter, or the fact of the matter that You’ll see daily people entering Islam, reverting to Islam And these people happen to be males, females Rich and poor, young and adults, They are really accepting Islam and Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala will know Speaking of Islam If a million persons, a billion, stands in one shot And to try To shut the light of the sun To blow at the light of the sun, can they shut the light of the sun? They can’t. could you imagine the light of Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala Noor Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala No power on earth can shut noor Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala But my brothers, my sisters, we need to be that Muslim who are full time Muslims And invite and educate ourselves Invite others to Islam but also educate ourselves about Islam Otherwise we can be like tree. This tree called asafla This particular tree It will really amaze you when you look at it, but if you eat from it It will kill you, we can’t be that tree my brothers, my sisters, Inviting people to Islam is no longer just a nice matter It is a must matter My brothers, my sisters, we are swimming in this aquarium The aquarium of North America. Islam is our oxygen You take Islam out of this aquarium, what will happen? What will happen ? I will tell you what will happen If you take a fish out of the sea and put it on the table. What will happen? Some of you will say it will die The fish will start moving and jumping A person who’s ignorant of the nature of the fish Will think that the fish is full of energy, the fish is dancing, The fish is full of life, the fish is happy, but the fish really Is dying slowly. It is a slow death So once we take the oxygen which is Islam Once we take Islam out of our aquarium, we’re not really living, it is a slow death really Blend in, bleed within You wanna blend in and just forget about Islam and inviting people to Islam In reality, it is bleeding within Blend in, bleed within wal ayad o billah, my brothers, my sisters, the topic is really so long even Prophet Yusuf (AS), in jail, in difficulties, not only that, he’s really been oppressed, he didn’t say well, I’m gonna ignore these people, you know, they are not good to me, I’m not going to invite them to Allah he was inviting them to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala and if you pinpoint that particular ayah that Prophet Yusuf (AS), the ayah does not tell us that they became Muslim to show you that our job is to invite people to Islam we are not in charge of the results. The results belong to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala and we saw that in many examples in the Qura'an and the hadith and the stories of the companions but the reality here, even Prophet Yusuf (AS) that you will see Prophet Yusuf(AS) at the end of that invitation Allah does not show us that really they became Muslims Allah left it like just for us to understand, one of the matters we conclude that our job Is to invite people to Islam, educate people about Islam, Really for us to live Islam my brothers, my sisters, For us here, we think Some people would say, you know I’m not really living Islam and I’m having a hell of a time You know, I’m not practicing Islam, I’m having a hell of a time Today hell of a time, tomorrow, hell time wal ayad u billah And Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala declared in the Qura'an Whoever turns away from my remembrance of the Qura'an, he and that means she also Shall have a hardship kind of a life. Really we can’t afford this hardship kind of a life In another ayah, Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala declared Whoever turns away from the remembrance of the most merciful, We shall appoint for him and that also means her a devil, And he is for him a companion. Could you imagine if your companion is a devil what type of a life you’ll have? What type of mistakes and goofing and trouble you will fall into My brothers, my sisters You have to know another reality, another fact Which is To call people to Islam with wisdom and beautiful preaching Allah declared that That call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching And Don’t think that you are better than that person calling to Islam Why? Because we could’ve been that person Allah so merciful that he gave us Islam from day 1 or year 10 or year 20 in our life So we have to look at that person and deal with him with wisdom and beautiful preaching With love and mercy Finally my brothers, my sisters Take a look at this reality With you inviting people to Islam, educating people about Islam, With whatever resources you have You are greatly rewarded, you are really greatly blessed The mercy of Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala showering on you and your family and your generation With a little resources you have or money, Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala could take it to thousands of people But look at those who are diverting people You are inviting people to Allah. They are diverting people from the path of Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala So those people Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala describing those people that They are diverting people from the path of Allah They are spending their money to divert people from the path of Allah Allah described them as kuffar And one of the meanings of kufar One of that particular word’s meaning, it means somebody who covers the truth But those people who are diverting people from the path of Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala repeated the word again They will spend it. See the beginning of this ayah, they are spending their money Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala confirmed again, that they are spending it but what? What’s the result my brothers, my sisters, with your little resources, with your little Effort, with full of sincerity you are greatly rewarded. But with their millions and with their power and with their fancy machines And with their fancy printing machines and fancy equipment and media and tv’s a And radio and you name it, Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala is declaring That they will spend it, it will upon them as an agony and pain and lose and defeat and They will be shoved to the hell fire Look at these millions, and look at these resources that they are spending To divert people from Allah subhanahu wa'ta'Ala. What’s their reward? Their rewrd is really humiliation wal ayad u billah My brothers my sisters, remember Inviting people to Islam, it is not just a nice matter Right now, for our existence in North America It is a must matter, it is a matter of life and death It is a matter of preparation. It is a matter of preparation and prevention Because the best cure available, it is not better than prevention Prevention is better than the beat cure “jazakumullah khair. please remember me in your dua and remember a listener could be much better than a speaker Assalam u alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh”
